GENERAL CARE
- At 10500 we recomend you return to the salon for a free complementry first wash and aftercare lesson with a member of our team. If that is not possible do not shampoo the extensions for 24 hours after extensions are applied and follow the salon aftercare instructions contained on this sheet.
- It is so important to care for your extensions the correct way and use the appropriate aftercare products.
- Always use the stylist recomended brush (DON’T use a ball point brush)
- Don’t worry if you loose a couple of extensions, This is normal.
Daytime
- Separate the resin bonds on the extensions regularily ( This stops them sticking together and becoming entwined )
- To keep your hair in excellent condition during the day you should use prostyles daily conditioning spray before brushing
- Brush extensions once/twice a day. Begin by brushing the ends of your hair with a soft bristle brush ( Remembering to hold the extensions from the root area)
- Using a downward movement gently removing any tangles. Brush gradually closer to the scalp bushing firmly roots through to ends removing any tangles.
Bedtime
- Put long hair in a loose plait secured with a covered band on the end while you sleep. this is very important.
SHAMPOOING
DO’s
- Seperate the bonds and brush the hair before shampooing.
- Shampoo as required using the specially formulated prostyles frequent use shampoo as this will not damage the resin bonds or strip the colour from the hair.
- Shampoo your hair while in the shower as water and the hair both flow in a downward direction.
- Apply shampoo using the fingertips concertrating on the scalp area then stroking downward though the ends of the hair.
- Rinse thouroughly using clean running water and gently squeeze the hair to remove excess water.
DON’TS
- Dont rub extensions vigorously while shampooing.
- Dont twist or matt the hair while blow drying.
- conditioning
- Use prostyles conditioning rinse to condition your own hair and your extensions as required.( not on the roots ) Rinse hair afterwards with tepid water.
- To keep your hair in excellent condition during the day you should use prostyles daily conditioning spray before brushing.
- Hold the extensions at the root near the bonds while brushing to avoid placing unnecessary tension on the root area.
- Don’t backcomb or back brush your hair. Always brush downward away from the roots.
- Don’t apply conditioner to the bonds themselves.
- Only apply conditioner to the hair extensions from about midway to the ends.
DRYING
DO’s
- Comb the hair through with prostyles daily conditioning spray.
- Separate the bonds with fingers before drying.
- Start drying the hair at the roots running the fingers throught the hair .
DON’TS
- Don’t go to bed with wet hair.
- Don’t tie ponytails too tight
- Don’t rub the hair vigorously while drying.
